Graduate Programme

Why did you apply for the Welsh Water graduate programme?

I heard about the opportunities Welsh Water offer for graduates and the chances to grow and develop within an industry.  After completing my second dissertation on a water related topic. It was apparent that working in the water industry was for me.

What have you enjoyed most about the Welsh Water graduate programme?

Having the chances to go out on site and learn how Welsh Water operate has been great! It has enabled me to gain a holistic view on how tasks on site correspond to tasks in the office.  Every day has been a learning day here at Welsh Water and one day hasn’t been the same as the next.

What would you say to anyone thinking about applying for the programme?

Welsh Water provides a great learning opportunity for people from all educational backgrounds. The everyday tasks are fun but challenging and you can really get ‘lost in the moment’ when you get your teeth into a good project.  If you’re looking for a challenge and want to develop your skills. Welsh Water is the place to be.

Also, if you have any interesting stories, hobbies, backgrounds etc. it would be great to know.

My life outside of work is heavily involved around sports. I’m often at the gym or playing rugby and when I am not doing either of those. I’m usually eating chicken and pasta.
